1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the meanings set out below:
- "We", "Us", "Our" — Lanna Horology, a watch repair workshop operating at 22 Nimmanhaemin Road, Mueang, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.
- "You", "Client" — any individual who contacts us, submits an enquiry, or entrusts a watch or other item to our care.
- "Service" — any watch repair, maintenance, overhaul, or restoration work carried out by us, including assessment, condition reporting, and documentation.
- "Item" — a watch, clock, or other timepiece accepted by us for service.
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions together with any written service confirmation provided to you.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry through our website, contacting us directly, or delivering an item to our workshop, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a service request.
Use of our services is intended for individuals aged 18 and over who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Services Provided
We offer three principal services:
- Routine Maintenance Check (฿4,600) — a health assessment for mechanical and quartz watches, covering timekeeping, seals, exterior cleaning, and an advisory note.
- Full Movement Overhaul (฿8,900) — complete disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and water-resistance assessment, with timing report.
- Vintage Revival Service (฿16,500) — longer-term restoration of older or sentimental pieces, including movement work, cosmetic assessment, and parts sourcing where available.
Services are provided at our workshop in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Quoted turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on parts availability or findings during assessment. We will inform you promptly of any variation.
4. Service Delivery Terms
- A condition assessment will be carried out on receipt of your item. We will communicate our findings and confirm the scope of work before proceeding.
- If additional work beyond the agreed scope is identified, we will consult you before proceeding. No additional charges will be incurred without your prior agreement.
- Replacement parts used will be appropriate to the calibre and age of the item. Where original parts are unavailable, we will advise you of alternatives.
- Risk of loss or damage to an item passes to you upon collection from our workshop.
- Items not collected within 60 days of notification that work is complete may be subject to storage arrangements. We will contact you before taking any further steps.
5. Payment
All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is due upon collection of the item or, by prior arrangement, via bank transfer before dispatch. We accept cash and standard bank transfers.
If work is declined after assessment has commenced, a nominal assessment fee may apply to cover time spent. This will be communicated to you in advance.
We do not accept liability for costs incurred in bringing an item to or collecting it from our workshop.
6. Your Responsibilities
- Please provide accurate information about the item, its history, and any known issues.
- If delivering by post or courier, you are responsible for adequate packaging and insurance during transit to us.
- Please inform us of any sentimental, collector, or monetary value associated with the item that may affect how we approach the work.
- Contact details provided should be current and monitored so we can reach you during the service period.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, layout, and service documentation formats — is the property of Lanna Horology. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any content without written permission.
Service documentation (condition notes, timing reports) provided with your item may be kept for your personal reference. It may not be used for commercial purposes without our consent.
8. Disclaimers
We take care with every item and aim to communicate honestly about what is achievable. However, given the nature of older and vintage mechanical work, we cannot undertake that any particular outcome will result from our service.
The condition of a movement may not be fully apparent until disassembly. If findings change our assessment, we will communicate this before proceeding.
This website and any information it contains are provided for general reference. Nothing on this site constitutes professional advice specific to your situation or your item.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability in relation to any item in our care is limited to the fair market value of the item or the cost of the service, whichever is lower, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from a service, including loss of use or sentimental loss.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Thai law.
10. Disputes and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or in connection with a service should first be raised with us directly. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve concerns informally.
If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Chiang Mai, Thailand.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when they were last revised. Continued use of our services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated where practicable.
12. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our rights. These Terms, together with any written service confirmation, form the entire agreement between us in respect of a service.
